25 days to go until Black Friday. Refurbished prices checked 2 Nov 2026, 23:28 GMT. No fake "was" prices: a drop is only shown when our own record shows it.

Price drops we've recorded

Real falls on the same Back Market listing (same model, spec, colour and storage) in the last 7 days, from SimSift's own record of the official feed. "Was" is the price we recorded before, seen on at least two checks; we skip anything that looks like a placeholder or a swapped listing. We never compare with RRP.

Cheapest in-stock, unlocked refurbished listing for each popular model at Back Market UK, from the official Awin feed. "New low" means today's price is below every price we've recorded for that model since we started our daily record; it isn't a comparison with the price new.

SIM-only deals

The cheapest SIM-only plan we've checked today is £5 a month (Lebara, 5GB). A refurbished phone plus a SIM-only plan is usually far cheaper than a phone contract. We show the true cost of every plan, including April price rises: Black Friday SIM-only guide, compare SIM-only deals, plans under £10 or unlimited data.

Black Friday buying tips

Check the price history, not the banner

A big "was" price is often the price new or a price that barely lasted a day. On SimSift, a price-drop badge only appears when our own daily record shows the same listing has fallen by at least 10%.

Compare like for like

Storage, colour, condition grade and battery all change the price of a refurbished device. Our prices are the cheapest in-stock listing for each exact configuration.

Check the warranty and returns

Back Market devices come with at least a 12-month warranty and a 30-day return window. Buying online in the UK also gives you 14 days to cancel under the Consumer Contracts Regulations.

Buy unlocked, then pick a SIM-only plan

Every phone we list is unlocked, so you can pair it with the cheapest SIM-only deal rather than tying yourself to a contract.

Check eSIM support before you travel

Travel eSIMs need an eSIM-compatible, unlocked phone. Most iPhones from the XS onwards and recent Galaxy and Pixel phones support eSIM.

Don't wait for one day only

Many retailers run offers through November and prices move up and down. If a price is already the lowest we've recorded, waiting for the day itself may not save you anything.

Why refurbished is big on Black Friday

Back Market says its Black Friday 2025 was its biggest ever, with sales up 41% on the year before (Back Market, February 2026). Refurbished laptops, tablets and consoles are growing as well as phones.

Black Friday 2026 questions

When is Black Friday 2026?

Black Friday 2026 is Friday 27 November 2026, and Cyber Monday is Monday 30 November 2026. Many retailers start their offers earlier in November.

Are these Black Friday prices?

They're today's prices from each retailer's official feed or partner data, checked daily. We only call something a price drop when our own record shows the same listing has fallen. We don't label anything a Black Friday price unless the retailer's data shows it.

How does SimSift make money?
