Contracts, fees and the small print
- Contract length: separate 24-month minimum terms for broadband, Sky Talk and any add-ons such as WiFi Max.
- Price changes: Sky says prices may change during your minimum term. Its broadband page doesn't set out a fixed April price rise in pounds, so ask Sky what any rise would be before you order. After 24 months, you pay what you were paying just before the term ended, plus £5 a month.
- Setup: a £9.95 router delivery fee plus a £10 activation fee may be required, and non-standard setup may cost extra (from Sky's site, checked 4 November 2026).
- Router: you get a Sky Hub, loaned at no cost, which you must return when your broadband ends.
- Phone line: line rental and Sky Talk Pay As You Talk are included as standard. On full fibre and some part fibre, calls are internet calls, which aren't suitable if you rely on your landline in an emergency or have a care alarm.
- Switching: Sky handles the switch with One Touch Switch. It also advertises up to £200 credit towards your old provider's leaving fees, but you have to claim it with proof of payment within 90 days, and conditions apply.
- Speed Guarantee: if your speed stays below your guaranteed minimum for three days in a row, you can leave broadband and Talk without early termination charges.
- WiFi Max: an optional add-on with whole-home WiFi features, from £6 extra a month or free with Gigafast+ (checked 4 November 2026).
- Lower incomes: Sky offers a social tariff. Ask about it if you're on certain benefits.

Who Sky suits
- Homes that want the fastest full fibre speeds and can get them.
- People who already have or want Sky TV with their broadband.
- People happy with a 24-month contract.
It may suit you less if you want a short or rolling contract. Work out the total over 24 months, including setup and any price changes, and compare it with another provider before you switch. Our Onestream guide covers another option.
Sky TV, Glass and Stream
Sky's Stream page lists Sky Ultimate TV with Full Fibre 900 broadband as separate 24-month terms: Ultimate TV £21 a month and Full Fibre 900 £20 a month, so £41 a month together (checked 4 November 2026, new Sky TV and broadband customers). It's the only Sky broadband price Sky shows without a postcode. After 24 months it lists the standard prices as currently £38 and £25. See our Sky TV guide for every package and add-on, and Sky Glass and Sky Stream for the kit.

Sky TV: packages, add-ons and the real monthly cost
Sky TV now streams over broadband on Sky Stream or a Sky Glass TV, with no dish. Here are Sky's packages and add-ons with the prices Sky shows without a postcode, checked 4 November 2026, and what you'll pay once the contract ends.
Sky TV packages
New customers, from Sky's TV page and its legal notes. Sky says "Prices may change during 24 month minimum term."
| Package | What's in it | 24-month term | 31-day rolling | After that (rolling price) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Sky Essential TV | 100+ channels including Sky Atlantic and 90 free-to-air channels, with Netflix Standard with Ads and discovery+ | From £15 a month | £18 a month | Currently £21 a month |
| Sky Ultimate TV | Essential channels plus Sky Max, Sky Documentaries, Sky Comedy and Sky Nature, with Netflix Standard with Ads, HBO Max Basic with Ads, Disney+ Standard with Ads and selected Hayu | From £24 a month | £27 a month | Currently £37 a month |
Already a Sky TV customer? Sky lists Essential TV at £18 a month and Ultimate TV at £30 a month on a 24-month term for existing customers. Sky says there are no upfront fees on these packages.
Sky TV with broadband
Sky's TV page shows Sky Ultimate TV with 900Mbps Full Fibre broadband at £41 a month, for new Sky TV and broadband customers. Sky's Stream page breaks this down as separate 24-month terms: Ultimate TV £21 a month, Full Fibre 900 £20 a month and Sky Talk Pay As You Talk £0. After 24 months it lists the standard prices as currently £38, £25 and £0, so £63 a month in total. Full fibre isn't available everywhere: Sky says Full Fibre Gigafast is available to 79% of UK homes.
True monthly cost: over the 24-month term this bundle is £41 a month (£984 in total), if Sky doesn't change the price. Sky says prices may change during the term, so budget for a rise. When the term ends, the price goes up by £22 a month unless you renegotiate or switch.

| Sky Sports F1 (single channel) | £20 a month extra | 31-day rolling, existing Sky TV customers |
| TNT Sports | £31 a month extra | 31-day rolling |

| Sky Kids | £8 a month extra | Cancel any time, 31 days' notice |

| Sky Go Extra | £5 a month extra, no extra cost with Whole Home | Sky TV customers only |
Sky's pages don't all agree on every add-on price: on 4 November 2026 its Sky Stream page listed TNT Sports at £34 a month and Paramount+ Standard at £9.99, against £31 and £7.99 on its TV page. Check the price in your basket before you order.
Netflix: Netflix Standard with Ads comes with both Essential and Ultimate TV. Sky also sells Netflix Standard (no ads, 2 screens in full HD) and Netflix Premium (no ads, 4 screens in Ultra HD) as upgrades. If you already pay Netflix, Sky says your Netflix bill moves to Sky automatically, so you don't pay twice.
Sky Cinema offer: Sky's Cinema page showed "Sky Cinema now from just £10/month", with the small print: "£9 extra a month on 24-month min. term." It needs a new 24-month Sky TV term and isn't available with any other offer or to existing Sky Cinema customers.
Using Sky Glass and Sky Stream together: Sky says you'll need Whole Home, "currently £13pm extra, £15pm extra from 1st April" (Sky's TV page). That's the only dated April price rise Sky states on these pages.
Working out what Sky TV really costs
- Start with the package: Essential from £15 or Ultimate from £24 on 24 months.
- Add your extras: for example Sky Sports Complete (£33) and Sky Cinema (£14) on 24-month terms.
- Add the kit: Sky Stream plugs into your TV. A Sky Glass TV costs extra, so see our Sky Glass and Sky Stream guide.
- Remember broadband: Sky TV needs broadband of at least 25Mbps. See Sky broadband.
- Plan for the end of the term: rolling prices are higher, for example Ultimate TV currently £37 a month.

Sky Glass and Sky Stream: which one, and what it costs
Sky TV now comes two ways: Sky Stream, a small puck that plugs into the TV you already have, or Sky Glass, a TV with Sky built in. Both stream over broadband, with no dish. Prices from Sky's public pages, checked 4 November 2026.
Sky Stream
Sky's Stream page says "From just £15/month" with Sky Essential TV. That's the TV subscription on a 24-month term (or £18 a month on 31-day rolling), and Sky says prices may change during the term. You plug the puck into a TV with an HDMI port, with no professional installation, and Sky offers next-day delivery if you order by 9pm Monday to Friday or 3pm on Sunday. Sky's Stream page doesn't show a separate price for the puck itself.
Extra pucks for other rooms need Whole Home (£15 a month extra on a 31-day rolling subscription). Sky says the first extra puck is £0 to set up, then £39.95 for each one after that.
Sky Glass: buy-outright prices
One-time prices from Sky's Glass page. You also need a Sky TV subscription, from £15 a month on a 24-month term.
| Model | 43-inch | 55-inch | 65-inch | Key differences (Sky) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Sky Glass Air | £359 | £599 | £749 | Global dimming and HDR, 2 speakers, no soundbar |
| Sky Glass Gen 2 | £699 | £949 | £1,199 | Quantum Dot display, local dimming zones and advanced HDR, 7 speakers |
Sky also sells Sky Glass on a monthly loan. We only show the buy-outright prices here. On 4 November 2026, Sky's Stream page listed the 55-inch Glass Air at £509, against £599 on its Glass page, so check the price in your basket.
- Delivery: by courier, Standard (£0) or Premium (£45). Someone aged 18 or over has to be in to sign for it.
- Returns: a £25 fee applies if you return Glass within the 31-day cooling-off period.
- Wall mounting: you can set Glass up yourself, but Sky says wall mounting must be done by a professional installer.
- Limits: up to 3 Sky Glass TVs and 6 Sky Stream pucks per household.
- 4K and Dolby Atmos: Sky content in UHD/HDR needs the Ultra HD and Dolby Atmos pack, £6 a month extra.
Which should you get?
- Sky Stream if your TV is fine: there's no TV to buy, so it's the cheapest way in.
- Sky Glass Air if you need a new TV anyway and want the lower price.
- Sky Glass Gen 2 if picture and sound matter most: it has the better display and a built-in soundbar.
True cost over two years: add the TV price (if any) to 24 months of your Sky TV package and any add-ons. For example, a 43-inch Sky Glass Air (£359) with Essential TV at £15 a month comes to £719 over 24 months, if Sky doesn't change the price. Sky says prices may change during the term, but its pages don't state a fixed yearly price rise in pounds, so ask Sky before you order. See our Sky TV guide for every package and add-on price.
