How we make money
SimSift is free. When you click a deal marked Ad and sign up, the provider may pay us a commission through the Awin affiliate network. You pay exactly the same price as going direct.
Who pays us
We earn affiliate commission only from providers whose programmes we have joined through Awin. Commission is usually a fixed amount per new customer, and the amount varies by provider and by tariff. Some providers pay us nothing, and we still list their deals in exactly the same way.
Why that doesn't change the order
Bigger commissions on pricier tariffs could tempt a comparison site to push them. We don't. Deals are always sorted by true monthly cost, lowest first, and the sort is set by code that never reads commission data. If we ever add a paid placement, it will be labelled "Sponsored" and kept separate from the ranked list.
How links are labelled
Every affiliate button is marked Ad and uses rel="sponsored", in line with ASA/CAP and CMA guidance. Our social posts that link to deals carry #ad. While we're in preview, deal buttons show "Live prices soon" and don't link anywhere.
What we don't do
We don't bid on providers' brand names in search ads, offer cashback or incentives, publish voucher codes, sell phones on finance, arrange credit or sell insurance.
